Thousands of pounds of pollutants enter our waterways each year through stormwater. Heavy rains can carry debris left on the street, sidewalks or driveways into storm drains, which lead to our rivers. Help keep storm drains clean! Here’s how:
- Blow or sweep grass clippings back into your yard after mowing
- Keep yard trimmings on your lawn or place in a waste receptacle for pickup
- Pick up and properly dispose of pet waste
- Pick up and properly dispose of trash
